Our keynote speaker for the 37th anniversary of TCF is Jeff Gomez.

THE POWER OF STORY IN A TECH-DRIVEN WORLD".

In this exclusive talk, Jeff Gomez CEO of Starlight Runner Entertainment and the world's leading producer of transmedia entertainment properties, recounts his personal journey from the inner city to the soundstages of the greatest movies and video games of the past decade. Jeff will recount how his understanding of the fundamentals of storytelling and interactive technology in the 1980s influenced his ability to foresee and develop the techniques of multi-platform narrative being used today in projects as diverse as James Cameron's Avatar and Microsoft's Halo, as well as the nation-building we are witnessing in the wake of the so-called Arab Spring. We have also been able to obtain Aram Friedman as a featured speaker this year. Aram was Director of Engineering of the Hayden Planetarium from 1998 through 2002. He has been involved with film, video, computer graphics, and special effects industries.

During TCF he will be demonstrating a software based planetarium that he's developed. His demonstration will include an eye opening presentation on the birth of the universe. For more information about Aram,

Talks and Forums will take place on Saturday, March 10, 2012. These talks will cover a wide range of topics for the Computer/Media/Digital Technology and Amateur Radio tracks.

Last year's festival theme was "Innovation". The Trenton Computer Festival (TCF), its 36th year, was held on Saturday, April 2nd and Sunday, April 3rd 2011 at The College of New Jersey. Last year's festival included:

  • IT Professional Conference (which was held on Friday April 1st)
  • ARRL New Jersey State Convention (which was held on Sunday, April 3rd
  • Keynote Speaker Address
  • Flea Market, Indoor exhibit and Sales area
  • General speaker/tutorial sessions
  • Amateur radio course and license exam

The exhibit is located in Atrium area of Social Science building, first floor.


Created in 1976 by Sol Libes of the Amateur Computer Group of New Jersey and Allen Katz, professor of electrical/computer engineering at TCNJ, the current festival has stayed true to its origins as an annual educational event. The public and personal computing fans can be sure to find plenty of bargains on new and used hardware and software, numerous talks, forums, tutorials, user group sessions, national exhibitors demonstrating their newest products, and much more...
